What is Hatha Yoga?
Hatha Yoga uses postures (asanas) and stretches in combination with the breath to develop flexibility and relaxation. It encourages proper alignment of the body and brings balance, strength, and calmness to the practitioner. The goal of Hatha Yoga, or “Forceful Yoga,” is to purify and remove blockages in the body and the mind in order to free oneself from limitations and live a fuller, richer life. Classes are based on the classic and ancient practices with attention to alignment and the deeper layers of yoga. This is perfect for complete beginners or for those who want a gentle stretch and some time to de-stress and completely relax.
